Haldi, Mehndi, Roka and Sangeet Décor in Greater Noida West
Updated: 4 hours ago
More and more families in Greater Noida West hold the pre-wedding functions close to home: a haldi on the society terrace, a mehndi in the clubhouse, a roka in a banquet hall near Gaur Chowk. It keeps costs sensible, lets elders stay comfortable, and makes the celebration feel personal. Birthday Bazaar decorates these functions across Gaur City, Bisrakh and the Noida Extension societies, and we focus specifically on pre-wedding events: haldi, mehndi, roka, engagement, sangeet, cocktail and bride-to-be parties.
Here is how we approach each function, what works in a high-rise society, how to plan several functions without wasting money, and what it costs in 2026.

Haldi
Haldi is bright, messy and joyful, so the décor needs to be colourful and easy to clean. Our haldi decoration uses marigold garlands, yellow and orange drapes, a low seat or decorated chowki for the bride or groom, and brass urli or matka props. Terraces and open lawns are ideal because turmeric and flowers get everywhere, and we lay protective sheets so the society floor is left clean afterwards.
For a morning haldi in the warmer months, we plan shade for elders and keep the setup lighter, with more fabric and flowers and fewer balloons, which do not like the sun.

Mehndi
Mehndi is usually an afternoon-into-evening function with music, food and plenty of seating for the mehndi artists and guests. Our mehndi decoration favours green, pink and multicolour drapes, floor seating with bolsters, umbrellas and hanging florals, and a swing or jhoola for the bride. Clubhouses in Greater Noida West work beautifully for mehndi because they fit 50 to 100 guests and are close to home for elderly relatives.

Roka and engagement
Roka and engagement ceremonies are more formal. The stage is the focus, with a floral or draped backdrop, two chairs or a sofa for the couple, and a ring or ritual table. Our roka and engagement decoration is usually set up in a banquet hall or a large clubhouse, with a canopy entrance for guests and a separate dinner area so the ceremony space stays uncluttered.

Sangeet and cocktail nights
Sangeet is the party night. We bring stage lighting, an LED dance floor where the venue allows it, a DJ and sound setup and a lounge area. For a younger crowd, our cocktail and bachelor party décor and bride-to-be decoration create a fun, photogenic space for friends, and a grand entry or cold pyro moment makes the couple's entrance unforgettable.

Planning pre-wedding functions in a society
Book the space early: wedding season from October to February is also peak clubhouse season. Secure your date before booking décor.
Check music timings: many societies stop amplified music around 10 pm. Hold the sangeet in a banquet hall if you want a late night.
Plan for elders: chairs with backs, a shaded area for a daytime haldi, and food served to the table for grandparents.
Think about clean-up: haldi and flower petals stain. We protect floors and clear up so your society deposit is safe.
Combine functions: holding haldi in the morning and mehndi in the evening at the same venue saves on setup and lets us reuse elements between the two.
One team for all the functions
Booking the same team for haldi, mehndi and sangeet has real advantages. We design the colour stories so each function looks different but the photos still feel like one celebration, we can move florals and drapes from one function to the next, and you only brief one person instead of three. Families who book multiple functions with us usually save compared with booking each one separately, and the day-to-day coordination is much easier.
Food for pre-wedding functions
Most families serve a proper meal at mehndi and sangeet, and snacks and chaat at haldi. Veg catering starts from ₹699 per plate and non-veg from ₹899, cooked live at the venue for most functions. A chaat counter, mocktail bar and dosa counter are popular additions, and with 100-person catering you also get a free DJ under our current offer.

We focus on pre-wedding functions and do not take on the wedding day itself, so our team's full attention stays on making your haldi, mehndi, roka and sangeet special.
Colour palettes for each function
Haldi: marigold yellow, orange and a touch of green. Some families now choose pastel yellow and white for a softer, more modern look.
Mehndi: emerald and parrot green with hot pink, or a multicolour palette with patterned drapes and umbrellas.
Roka and engagement: ivory, blush and gold, or deep red and gold for a traditional feel. Florals do most of the work here.
Sangeet: jewel tones like royal blue, magenta and gold, with lighting doing the heavy lifting after dark.
Cocktail and bride-to-be: black and gold, rose gold and white, or neon-bright accents for a party mood.
Choosing a different palette for each function keeps the photos fresh, while a shared accent colour, often gold, ties the whole celebration together.
A sample two-day pre-wedding plan
Day 1 morning: haldi on the society terrace or lawn, with a chaat counter and light snacks for 40 to 60 guests.
Day 1 evening: mehndi in the clubhouse, with floor seating, a jhoola for the bride, a mocktail bar and dinner.
Day 2 afternoon: our team converts a banquet hall near Gaur Chowk for the sangeet, with stage, lighting and dance floor.
Day 2 evening: sangeet performances, DJ, dinner and dancing until the venue's cut-off time.
Because the same team handles every function, we can move florals, drapes and seating from one to the next, keeping costs down without the décor ever looking repeated. We share the full plan, with timings and what goes where, before the first function begins.
What you take care of, and what we do
You book the venues and take any society or RWA permissions, confirm guest numbers and arrange the pandit and ritual items for ceremonies like roka. We handle décor, seating, lighting, DJ, catering and clearing up after each function. One WhatsApp thread, one coordinator and one invoice for the whole celebration means far fewer phone calls in what is already a busy few weeks for your family.
Questions to ask any pre-wedding decorator
Whoever you book, these questions will save you trouble later. We are happy to answer every one of them in writing before you pay an advance:
What exactly is included? Ask for a list of the backdrop, seating, florals, lighting and entrance items, not just a picture.
Are the flowers fresh or artificial? Both have their place, but you should know which you are paying for.
When will your team arrive, and when will you clear up? This matters for society and banquet rules.
Who is my contact on the day? You want one named person, not a call centre.
What happens if something goes wrong? Ask about backup staff and how last-minute changes are handled.
Are there any extra charges? Transport, setup and clearing should be in the quote, not added afterwards.
At Birthday Bazaar every package is custom, there are no hidden charges, and you get one coordinator from the first message to the last function.

Which balloons suit haldi, mehndi and sangeet?
Haldi: yellow and orange matte with gold chrome, mixed into marigold garlands.
Mehndi: green and hot pink with gold metallic.
Sangeet: jewel tones like royal blue, magenta and emerald, with gold or silver chrome that catches the stage lights.
Bride-to-be: blush, ivory and rose-gold chrome with confetti balloons.
For pre-wedding functions, balloons work best as accents with flowers and drapes, not the main event.
Quick guide: pastel balloons are soft and matte, metallic have a pearly satin sheen, chrome have a mirror-like shine that pops in photos, confetti balloons are clear with sparkle inside, and foil is for numbers, letters and shapes.
Not sure which shades go together? That's literally our favourite puzzle. Share your theme and we'll send a palette that looks insta-worthy from every angle. Get a free palette idea.
Pre-wedding décor in Greater Noida West: FAQs
Do you decorate for the wedding day itself?
No. Birthday Bazaar focuses on pre-wedding functions: haldi, mehndi, roka, engagement, sangeet, cocktail and bride-to-be parties.
Can you do haldi and mehndi on the same day?
Yes. We can set up haldi in the morning and switch the same venue to mehndi by evening, which also saves on setup costs.
Will haldi stain the clubhouse floor?
We lay protective sheets under the haldi area and clear up after the function, so the floor is left clean.
Can you set up on a society terrace?
Yes, once you have the society's permission. We weight all frames against wind and plan shade for daytime functions.
Do you provide the DJ for the sangeet?
Yes. DJ and sound is one of our services, and it is free with 100-person catering until 31 December 2026.
