At home, a 6 to 8 ft backdrop with the cake table in front suits most Delhi living rooms, leaving space for the family to stand for photos. Mistakes to avoid
Too many colours: two or three main shades look deliberate.

How long do balloons last?
Indoors with air-conditioning, air-filled balloons stay fresh through the party and usually for a day or two. Helium latex floats for roughly half a day; foil lasts much longer. Delhi winters are kind to balloons, and summer heat is not, so we plan materials around the season.

Can balloons be taken home?
Latex balloons are single-use and lose their shape after a day or two, so we clear them at banquet events. Foil numbers and letters can often be deflated and kept, and families like to keep the child's age number. Tell us in advance and we will set aside the foil balloons and a few latex ones for the children to take home.
