Delhi's calendar is full of festivals, and each one is a reason to make the home, the colony park or the office feel special. Birthday Bazaar decorates for Diwali, Karwa Chauth, Janmashtami, Ganpati, Christmas and New Year across Delhi, from a marigold entrance at a Lajpat Nagar home to a Diwali party in a Rohini banquet, a Karwa Chauth evening for an RWA in Mayur Vihar, and a New Year rooftop in South Delhi. We handle décor and festive catering together, so hosting a festival gathering is a pleasure rather than a project.

This page covers what we do for each festival, ideas for homes, RWAs and offices, festive food, when to book in peak season, and prices.

Diwali

Diwali is our busiest season. For homes we create marigold and rose torans for the entrance, a rangoli, diya and lantern arrangements, fairy lights on balconies, and a festive photo corner for the family. For Diwali parties we add a stage or backdrop, table décor in gold, red and orange, and a card-party lounge. Our Diwali decoration covers all of this, and our Diwali party decoration in Noida page shows more ideas.

  • Home entrance: marigold torans, a flower rangoli and brass diyas.

  • Balconies and terraces: fairy lights and hanging lanterns.

  • Puja corner: fresh flowers, drapes and a clean, calm backdrop.

  • Diwali party: a festive stage, lounge seating, a photo wall and live food counters.

Karwa Chauth

Karwa Chauth evenings are increasingly celebrated together, with neighbours and friends gathering on a terrace or in a colony park or clubhouse. We decorate a moon-viewing area with drapes, fairy lights and floral touches, a seating area for the puja, a photo backdrop, and a mehendi corner if you want one. Our Karwa Chauth decoration can be as simple as a terrace for one family or a full RWA evening with dinner after moonrise.

Janmashtami and Ganpati

For Janmashtami we create a jhula for Laddu Gopal with flowers, peacock-feather colours and fairy lights, a matki for the dahi handi if you are celebrating with children, and a backdrop for photos. See Janmashtami decoration. For Ganesh Chaturthi we set up a floral mandap for the idol at home or in a society, with drapes, lighting and space for aarti. See Ganpati decoration.

Christmas and New Year

For Christmas we decorate a tree corner, a red, green and white balloon backdrop, and a festive table for family dinners or office Secret Santa. See Christmas decoration. For New Year, black and gold or silver décor, foil numbers for the year, a countdown moment, a DJ and a dance floor turn a rooftop, home or banquet into a proper party. Festival décor for RWAs and colony parks

Many Delhi RWAs host festival evenings for the whole colony. We handle the décor for the park or community hall, a stage for cultural programmes, sound and lighting, and food counters. For large gatherings we plan separate zones for the puja, the stage, food and children, and we keep everything on free-standing frames so nothing damages the park or the hall. Tell us your expected turnout and budget per household, and we will plan to it.

Festival décor for offices

Offices in Connaught Place, Nehru Place, Okhla, Jasola and Saket celebrate Diwali, Christmas and New Year too. We set up reception décor, a festive photo wall and a lunch or snacks spread, usually before office hours so work is not disturbed. See our corporate event decoration in Delhi page for more.

Festive food

No festival is complete without food. Our chefs cook live at the venue for most events: veg catering from ₹699 per plate and non-veg from ₹899, with festive favourites like a chaat counter, sweets and a mocktail bar. For puja functions we can plan a satvik-friendly veg menu; just tell us your requirements when you enquire.

Book early for peak season

Diwali week, Karwa Chauth evening and New Year's Eve are the busiest dates of our year, and slots fill up weeks in advance. Book three to four weeks ahead for these dates, and at least a week ahead for other festivals. If you are late, WhatsApp us anyway; we accept last-minute bookings whenever our team is free, especially for simpler home setups.

Eco-friendly choices

If you prefer a greener festival, ask for fresh flowers, fabric and paper décor, diyas and reusable lanterns instead of latex balloons and plastic. They look beautiful, photograph well, and fresh flowers can be composted afterwards. We are happy to design a festival setup that uses fewer disposable materials.

Festival ideas by space

  • Flat or builder floor: an entrance toran, a rangoli, diyas on the balcony and a small photo corner in the living room.

  • Kothi or independent house: a lit gate, fairy lights across the façade, a floral puja area and a lawn or terrace for guests.

  • Colony park: a stage for programmes, a puja zone, food counters and a children's area, all on free-standing frames.

  • Community hall or banquet: full festive décor with a stage, lounge seating, lighting and a dance floor.

  • Office: reception décor, a photo wall and a festive lunch spread set up before working hours.

Festival parties with entertainment

Festival gatherings are more fun with a little entertainment. A DJ and sound for Diwali and New Year parties, a magician and games coordinator for children at RWA evenings, a mehendi corner for Karwa Chauth, and photography and videography for the whole family. Each extra entertainment activity is ₹3,000, so it is easy to add just what you need.

For the biggest nights, a grand entry or cold pyro at the New Year countdown makes the moment unforgettable, and a live mocktail bar keeps guests together through the evening.

Tell us the festival, your space and how many people you expect, and we will suggest a setup that fits your budget, whether that is a simple marigold entrance for your family or a full evening for the whole colony. Every package is quoted upfront, with no hidden charges.

For RWAs and offices that celebrate every festival, we can plan a yearly calendar: Janmashtami, Ganpati, Diwali, Karwa Chauth, Christmas and New Year, with reusable elements and one point of contact, which saves money and effort across the year.

What you arrange, and what we handle

You book the venue and take any society, building or venue permission, confirm your guest count, and arrange anything personal like a cake. We handle everything else: design, décor, entertainment, food, staff, setup and clearing up. One coordinator stays with you from your first WhatsApp message to the end of the event, so there is only ever one number to call in Delhi. We offer same-day service across Delhi, and for farther areas we plan travel time carefully so the team always arrives on schedule.

Where we work in Delhi

We work across Delhi: South Delhi including Greater Kailash, Saket, Hauz Khas, Vasant Kunj, Defence Colony and Lajpat Nagar; East Delhi including Mayur Vihar, Preet Vihar, Patparganj and Laxmi Nagar; West Delhi including Janakpuri, Rajouri Garden and Punjabi Bagh; North and North-West Delhi including Model Town, Pitampura and Rohini; Dwarka; and the farmhouse belts of Chhatarpur, Mehrauli, Sainik Farms and Kapashera. How booking works

  1. WhatsApp us your date, venue, guest count and the look you want.

  2. We share ideas and an exact quote, usually the same day.

  3. Lock your date on WhatsApp or a quick call, and we confirm everything in writing.

  4. Our team arrives about 4 hours before the event to set up (simple room setups take less).

  5. Relax on the day: our team sets up, runs the party and clears up.

Birthday Bazaar has been doing this for more than 12 years and has delivered 951+ events across Delhi NCR. Every staff member is verified, we cross-check each booking before the event, and we keep backup staff on standby so a last-minute cancellation never becomes your problem.

Which balloons suit festival décor?

  • Diwali: red, orange and gold metallic, mixed with marigolds and diyas.

  • Christmas: red, green and white with gold chrome.

  • New Year: black and silver chrome, gold confetti and foil numbers for the year.

  • Karwa Chauth: red and gold with warm fairy lights.

  • Janmashtami: peacock blue, green and yellow with gold chrome.

For a greener festival, go lighter on balloons and heavier on flowers, fabric and lanterns; we're happy to design it that way.

Quick guide: pastel balloons are soft and matte, metallic have a pearly satin sheen, chrome have a mirror-like shine that pops in photos, confetti balloons are clear with sparkle inside, and foil is for numbers, letters and shapes.

Want it reel-ready? Send us a photo of the outfit and your venue, and our decorators will suggest a balloon mix that's giving main-character energy. Ask our balloon team.
