Haldi, Mehndi, Roka and Sangeet Décor in Ghaziabad
Updated: Oct 4
Ghaziabad families love to celebrate the days before a wedding in style, and more of those functions now happen close to home: a haldi on the terrace of a Raj Nagar house, a mehndi in an Indirapuram clubhouse, a roka in a banquet hall in Vaishali or Kavi Nagar, and a sangeet with the whole extended family on the dance floor. Birthday Bazaar decorates these pre-wedding functions across Ghaziabad. We focus specifically on haldi, mehndi, roka, engagement, sangeet, cocktail and bride-to-be events, and we do not take on the wedding day itself, so our full attention stays on making these functions special.
This page covers how we approach each function, colour ideas, a sample two-day plan, how to plan in a society or banquet, food, and what it all costs in 2026.

Haldi
Haldi is bright, joyful and messy, so the décor needs to be colourful and easy to clean. Our haldi decoration uses marigold garlands, yellow and orange drapes, a low seat or decorated chowki for the bride or groom, and brass urli or matka props. Terraces and lawns are ideal, and many independent houses in Raj Nagar, Kavi Nagar and Govindpuram have the perfect space. We lay protective sheets so floors are left clean afterwards, and plan shade for elders at a daytime haldi.

Mehndi
Mehndi is usually an afternoon-into-evening function with music, food and plenty of seating for the mehndi artists and guests. Our mehndi decoration uses green, pink and multicolour drapes, floor seating with bolsters, hanging florals and umbrellas, and a jhoola for the bride. Society clubhouses in Indirapuram and Raj Nagar Extension suit mehndi well because they fit 50 to 100 guests and are close to home for elderly relatives.

Roka and engagement
Roka and engagement ceremonies are more formal. The stage is the focus, with a floral or draped backdrop, chairs or a sofa for the couple, and a ring or ritual table. Our roka and engagement decoration is usually set up in a banquet hall or large clubhouse with a canopy entrance for guests and a separate dinner area, so the ceremony space stays uncluttered for photos.

Sangeet and cocktail nights
Sangeet is the party night. We bring stage lighting, an LED dance floor where the venue allows it, a DJ and sound setup and a lounge area. For a younger crowd, our cocktail and bachelor party décor and bride-to-be decoration create a fun, photogenic space for friends, and a grand entry or cold pyro moment makes the couple's entrance unforgettable.

Colour palettes for each function
Haldi: marigold yellow, orange and a touch of green, or pastel yellow and white for a softer modern look.
Mehndi: emerald and parrot green with hot pink, or a multicolour palette with patterned drapes.
Roka and engagement: ivory, blush and gold, or deep red and gold for a traditional feel.
Sangeet: jewel tones like royal blue, magenta and gold, with lighting doing the heavy lifting.
Cocktail and bride-to-be: black and gold, rose gold and white, or bright accents for a party mood.
A different palette for each function keeps the photos fresh, while a shared accent colour, often gold, ties the whole celebration together.
A sample two-day plan
Day 1 morning: haldi on the terrace or lawn with a chaat counter and snacks for 40 to 60 guests.
Day 1 evening: mehndi in the clubhouse with floor seating, a jhoola, a mocktail bar and dinner.
Day 2 afternoon: our team sets up the banquet hall for the sangeet, with stage, lighting and dance floor.
Day 2 evening: performances, DJ, dinner and dancing until the venue's cut-off time.
Because the same team handles every function, florals, drapes and seating can move from one to the next, keeping costs down without the décor looking repeated.
Planning in a society or banquet
Book the space early: October to February is both wedding season and peak clubhouse season.
Check music timings: many societies stop amplified music around 10 pm, so hold the sangeet in a banquet hall if you want a late night.
Plan for elders: chairs with backs, shade at a daytime haldi, and food served to their tables.
Think about clean-up: haldi and petals stain, so we protect floors and clear up to keep your deposit safe.
Combine functions at one venue to save on setup.
Food for pre-wedding functions
Most families serve a proper meal at mehndi and sangeet and snacks and chaat at haldi. Veg catering starts from ₹699 per plate and non-veg from ₹899, cooked live at the venue for most functions. A chaat counter, mocktail bar and dosa counter are popular, and with 100-person catering you get a free DJ under our current offer.

Questions to ask any decorator
What exactly is included? Ask for a list, not just a picture.
Are the flowers fresh or artificial? Both have their place, but you should know which you are paying for.
When will the team arrive and clear up? This matters for society and banquet rules.
Who is my contact on the day? You want one named person.
Are there any extra charges? Setup and clearing should be in the quote.
At Birthday Bazaar every package is custom, there are no hidden charges, and one coordinator handles every function from the first message to the last dance.

One team for every function
Booking the same team for haldi, mehndi and sangeet has real advantages. We design the colour stories so each function looks different but the photos still feel like one celebration, we can move florals and drapes between functions, and you only brief one person instead of three. Families who book several functions with us usually spend less than they would booking each separately, and the day-to-day coordination is much easier.
What you take care of
You book the venues and take any society or RWA permissions, confirm guest numbers, and arrange the pandit and ritual items for ceremonies like roka. We handle décor, seating, lighting, DJ, catering and clearing up after each function, with one WhatsApp thread, one coordinator and one invoice for the whole celebration.
Bride-to-be and bachelorette parties
Before the functions begin, many brides in Ghaziabad now have a bride-to-be party with friends: a blush pink, white and rose gold balloon backdrop, a floral swing chair, a 'bride to be' sign, a veil prop, a dessert table and good music. It works at home, on a terrace or in a small banquet, and it is one of the most photographed moments of the whole wedding season. See our bride-to-be decoration for ideas.
Why Ghaziabad families book us
With more than 12 years and 951+ events behind us, we know how Indirapuram, Vaishali and Raj Nagar Extension societies work, from terrace permissions to lift bookings. Every package is custom with no hidden charges, one coordinator handles all your functions, and our own catering team cooks live at the venue for most events. That combination is why so many families come back to us for the next function in the family.
Short on time? Pre-wedding functions often get added late, once the wedding date is fixed. We accept last-minute bookings whenever our team is free, and a haldi or mehndi setup for a home or terrace can often be arranged within a few days. Tell us the date and the space, and we will be honest about what is possible.

Which balloons suit haldi, mehndi and sangeet?
Haldi: yellow and orange matte with gold chrome, mixed into marigold garlands.
Mehndi: green and hot pink with gold metallic.
Sangeet: jewel tones like royal blue, magenta and emerald, with gold or silver chrome that catches the stage lights.
Bride-to-be: blush, ivory and rose-gold chrome with confetti balloons.
For pre-wedding functions, balloons work best as accents with flowers and drapes, not the main event.
Quick guide: pastel balloons are soft and matte, metallic have a pearly satin sheen, chrome have a mirror-like shine that pops in photos, confetti balloons are clear with sparkle inside, and foil is for numbers, letters and shapes.
Every venue lights differently, and what looks aesthetic in a banquet hall can look flat in a living room. Tell us where you're partying and we'll tweak the mix so it hits different on camera. Chat with our decorators.
Pre-wedding décor in Ghaziabad: FAQs
Do you decorate for the wedding day itself?
No. Birthday Bazaar focuses on pre-wedding functions: haldi, mehndi, roka, engagement, sangeet, cocktail and bride-to-be parties.
Can you do haldi and mehndi on the same day?
Yes. We can set up haldi in the morning and switch the same venue to mehndi by evening, which also saves on setup.
Will haldi stain the floor?
We lay protective sheets under the haldi area and clear up afterwards, so the floor is left clean.
Can you decorate a house terrace in Raj Nagar or Kavi Nagar?
Yes. Terraces and lawns are ideal for haldi and mehndi; we weight frames against wind and plan shade for daytime functions.
Do you provide the DJ for the sangeet?
Yes. DJ and sound is one of our services, and it is free with 100-person catering until 31 December 2026.
