Updated: 3 days ago
From the first godh bharai to the first taste of rice, a baby's arrival brings a whole season of celebrations. Across Noida, Birthday Bazaar decorates baby showers, welcome-home surprises, naming ceremonies and annaprashans in independent houses in the central sectors, in Expressway society clubhouses and in banquet halls. These functions are close to our hearts because they are about family, and the décor should feel warm, calm and elegant rather than loud.
This page explains what each function usually involves, the colour and theme ideas Noida families are choosing in 2026, how to pick the right venue, how we plan around a pregnant or new mother, and what it all costs.

Baby shower and godh bharai
Godh bharai is traditionally held in the later months of pregnancy, when family members bless the mother-to-be and fill her lap with fruit, sweets and gifts. A modern baby shower keeps the blessings and adds games, a dessert table and a photo backdrop. Many Noida families now blend the two: a short traditional ritual followed by a relaxed party.
For both, the most important element is the mother's seat. We style a comfortable, supportive chair, swing or sofa as the centrepiece, and build the backdrop around it. Traditional setups use marigolds, roses, drapes and a decorated thaal; modern setups favour pastel balloons, 'oh baby' letters, clouds and teddies. See our baby shower decoration page for what is included.

Colour and theme ideas for 2026
Sage green and gold: fresh, calm and gender-neutral, with eucalyptus-style greens and white flowers.
Blush pink and white: soft and romantic, especially popular for baby girl welcomes.
Powder blue and silver: a gentle alternative to bright blue.
Moon and stars: navy, gold and white with a crescent moon seat, perfect if you are keeping the gender a surprise.
Little clouds and rainbows: pastels and white clouds for a cheerful modern look.
Traditional floral: marigold, rose and mogra with drapes for godh bharai and namkaran.
Whatever you choose, keep it to two or three main colours. It photographs better and lets the mother and baby stand out, which is the whole point.
Welcome baby
The first time a newborn comes home is a quiet, emotional moment. Our welcome baby decoration is designed to be simple and lovely: a balloon arch at the front door, a welcome banner with the baby's name if it has been chosen, and a few soft touches inside. We set up while the parents are still at the hospital, working with a family member who has the keys, so the parents walk in to a surprise without having to lift a finger.
Some families prefer a larger welcome ceremony a few weeks later, once the mother has recovered. Our baby girl welcome ceremony in Noida Extension shows how a full celebration can look, with décor, food and friends and family.

Namkaran and annaprashan
A naming ceremony usually begins with a puja and ends with a meal. We create a calm, traditional puja area with flowers and low seating, and a celebration backdrop where the baby's name is revealed. Our naming ceremony décor covers both, and our namkaran for 110 guests at SKA Orion clubhouse shows a larger version.
Annaprashan, the first rice ceremony, is usually held around six months. The ritual table is the focus, with the thaali, bowls and a backdrop behind the baby's seat for photos. Most families keep it small and at home, and our annaprashan decoration is sized for a living room.

Choosing the venue in Noida
Home: the most comfortable option for the mother. Independent houses in sectors like 15, 19, 27 and 50 often have space for 40 to 60 guests across the living room and porch.
Society clubhouse: ideal for 50 to 100 guests on the Expressway. Book early and take RWA permission; we handle the rest.
Banquet hall: best for a large namkaran with 100 or more guests and a full meal.
Restaurant private area: convenient for a small baby shower lunch, if the restaurant allows outside décor.
Planning around the mother and baby
Comfort first: a supportive seat, a cushion for her back and a clear path so she never has to squeeze past furniture.
A quiet corner: for longer functions, a separate resting space where she can feed or settle the baby.
No smoke or loud effects: we skip cold pyro, smoke and loud music at baby functions.
Timed setup: we set up and clear at times that let the family rest, and pre-build as much as possible so there is less noise at home.
Hygiene: our food team follows strict hygiene, which matters even more with a newborn and elders present.
Food for baby functions
Most baby functions are daytime events with elders, so lighter veg catering from ₹699 per plate is the usual choice, cooked live at the venue for most functions. A chaat counter and a sweet counter are popular, and a mocktail bar adds something special for a modern baby shower. If there is a puja, we time the food to be ready as soon as the rituals end, with elders served at their seats.

Blending tradition with a modern look
Many Noida families have grandparents who want a proper traditional ritual and younger relatives who want a stylish, Instagram-ready setup. The good news is you can have both. We usually create two zones: a ritual area with marigolds, a decorated thaal, a low seat and floor cushions for elders, and a modern backdrop a few steps away with pastel balloons, the baby's name or an 'oh baby' sign, and a comfortable chair for photos.
The ritual happens first, with the family gathered close, and then everyone moves to the photo backdrop and the food. It keeps elders happy, gives everyone great photos, and lets the function flow naturally from blessings to celebration.

Which balloon colours are best for a baby shower or welcome?
Soft pastels: blush, baby blue, mint, lilac or butter yellow.
Gender-neutral: sage green and ivory with gold chrome, a very aesthetic choice right now.
Pearl-white metallic balloons for a gentle shine that looks classy in photos.
Confetti balloons and an 'oh baby' or name foil for the photo corner.
Keep it airy: a few large balloons with lots of small ones reads more elegant than a wall of one size.
Quick guide: pastel balloons are soft and matte, metallic have a pearly satin sheen, chrome have a mirror-like shine that pops in photos, confetti balloons are clear with sparkle inside, and foil is for numbers, letters and shapes.
Every venue lights differently, and what looks aesthetic in a banquet hall can look flat in a living room. Tell us where you're partying and we'll tweak the mix so it hits different on camera. Chat with our decorators.
